STUST recently held the "Back to the Twenty-Four Solar Terms in Dreams: Chinese Paintings and Book Collection Exhibition by Mei-fen Gao and Her Students," which is also one of the activities for its anniversary. SUST Library particularly invited Mei-fen Gao, Director of the "Yang Dashu Branch Studio," and her students to have an exhibition on the campus. In addition to the art exhibition and book exhibition, it also cooperated with the International and Cross-Strait Affairs Office and the General Education Center of the university to arrange for teachers to write on the spot and teach the international teachers and students how to work on Chinese painting. The opening ceremony was performed by the Chinese Music Club, a student association of STUST, with an ensemble performance of "Kung Fu Panda Interlude," which many international students appreciated a lot.

STUST currently has international students from 33 countries. In addition to learning Chinese and academic research, they also hope to experience more Chinese culture. This year, Mr. Mei-fen Gao and the students cooperated with the STUST Library for the first time in Chinese painting. At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, 11 members swiped their brushes on the spot and presented the works to the students as study templates. In order to let international teachers and students experience the beauty of Chinese culture and traditional Chinese painting, special stationery for calligraphy and painting, such as paper, ink, and pens, was prepared for the guests of the ceremony to immerse themselves in the literati-style atmosphere with the teachers and students of STUST. They taught the international teachers and students of STUST to draw the New Year pictures of red envelopes by hand, and exchange their own works with local students, so as to meet new friends and communicate with each other. The scene was filled with an atmosphere of art and painting and calligraphy, and the international teachers and students also studied seriously and were highly interested.

Landscapes, flowers, and birds, animals, figures are all freely swayed in his paintings, with a wide range of painting styles, and his works have been invited to domestic and international exhibitions for numerous times. In addition to scrolls on paper, the works exhibited in the "Back to the Twenty-Four Solar Terms in Dreams: Chinese Paintings and Book Collection Exhibition by Mei-fen Gao and Her Students," break away from tradition and combine daily necessities to express the art of Chinese painting on fabrics, cloth bags, and different materials, such as water droplets, magnetic cups, glass water bottles, wooden boxes, etc., creating a variety of paintings and works that carry the aesthetics of literati life. This is absolutely amazing.
