The USR project team of STUST has been working on the Ministry of Education's "Local Creation and Dissemination of Cultural Heritage—Fucheng vs Yuejin" project. This is the sixth year for Shennong Street to hold the Lantern Festival. Recently, the project team combined the Year of the Rabbit with the number 6, making "Six Rabbits for Prosperity" the theme for the lantern show to be held in the hope that this year will go well like a sportive rabbit.

This year, Shennong Street Lantern Show is different from previous years in that it demonstrates the talent cultivation concept of the three-tiered talent education of the project team. Therefore, in addition to the students who have independently studied special courses at STUST and the residents who paint the lanterns of each household, they also invited elders from the art classroom of Tilapia Art and Culture Studio to participate in the lantern painting of six households, as well as children from “Paper Airplanes Can Fly” creative art classroom to participate in the installation of the network beauty wall of the Beishigang site. The staff of the STUST administrative unit and the international students of the International Affairs Office also added to the manpower to complete the Year of the Rabbit Lantern Show.

The Lantern Festival for the Year of the Rabbit is as usual. In addition to the hand-painted stories of the residents and the lanterns with images of the Year of the Rabbit, the Lantern Festival on Shennong Street will launch six great activities based on the his six themes this year. Starting from the entrance of Shennong Street on the same day, with the help of students from the Department of Pop Industry Music, STUST, students who participate in the painted lanterns will be asked to take their own lanterns and walk through Minzu Road, Guohua Street, Zhengxing Street and Haian Road. The Director of the STUST General Studies Center, the Executive Director of the University Social Promotion Center, and the Founding President and Executive Director of the Tainan City Cultural Association jointly cut the ribbon to announce the official opening of the Shennong Street Lantern Festival in the Year of the Rabbit, followed by the super popular lantern riddles guessing activity and Shennong Street's new super-popular Shennong ghost street game, the AR experiencing activity in which participants could experience the work of the dock workers in the suburban merchant period, and the night tour with lanterns, which is expected to be held on Feburary 4 with small lanterns for the Year of the Rabbit distributed for free to the first 200 participants. Finally, there will be a new Lantern Painting Competition for the Year of the Rabbit. People will choose the most beautiful lanterns for the Year of the Rabbit through lantern viewing to determine the top three most beautiful painted lanterns for the Year of the Rabbit.
