The organizers, with their experience last year of successfully holding the competition and overcoming the pandemic, continued to follow the government's comprehensive pandemic prevention policy and bring the competition to a perfect conclusion this year. As the pandemic has gradually become less severe this year, the practices and activities of school clubs gradually resume. In this competition, the Wind Music Club of STUST interweaved its majestic momentum and earnest emotions with their wind music ensemble, which aroused the sympathy of the audience and moved the audience deeply, making them immersed in the beautiful harmony of their music.

The National Student Music Competition was suspended for two years due to the impact of the pandemic. During this period, the members of the Wind Music Club of STUST experienced the problems of passing down the inheritance of performance experience and changes in the organization of the orchestra after the graduation of senior students and the joining of freshmen. Yet, the members still tried their best to break through the predicament, keep improving, hone their skills, and adjust their mentality. Under multiple difficulties, new and old members could still communicate with each other, grow up together and get excellent results!

The Wind Club of STUST said that thanks to the outstanding results last year, members of the club worked harder this year to win the special award again. About two months before the competition, the conductor believed that the participating team had already had a very high level of performance in the designated repertoire. He had high expectations for good results, so he decided to change to a more difficult selected song to give members more opportunities to perform. After the participating team accepted this challenge, both the teachers and the club members did their best in preparation, and the graduated former members also came back to help them practice and prepare. Under the dual pressure of technical issues and pressing time, they performed not as well as usual, making some mistakes and finally lost the best award by less than one point. Fortunately, after the experience of this competition, the team members grew significantly. In the future, they will continue to improve their personal abilities and team communication, make full preparations and adjust their mentality, and prepare to hit in the country’s student music competitions next year.

President Cheng-wen Wu of STUST said that STUST has always attached great importance to the promotion of student associations, hoping to cultivate students' diverse extracurricular interests, teamwork spirit, interpersonal skills, and social awareness.

The fact that the Wind Music Club of STUST can continue to achieve good results in the National Student Music Competition shows that the school's club activities have been carried out quite successfully. The wind music ensemble is not easy as it requires teamwork and interpersonal skills. Organization and leadership are both internalized into the hearts of each member in a subtle way, so that the members can fully demonstrate the results of their daily efforts during the competition. It is hoped that students can bring all these experiences into workplaces after graduation, and use their high-quality collaborative ability and professional skills to compose a beautiful movement for their future careers.
