In the group of private universities of science and technology, STUST won the double champion of Dissertation Access Contribution and Dissertation Open Access Outstanding Contribution in the group of private universities of science and technology. STUTS also won the "Dissertation Award". In order to promote academic dissemination, the National Library of Taiwan presented the utilization of Taiwan's academic resources through the National Library’s Taiwan Doctoral and Master's Thesis Knowledge Value-Added System. According to the analysis of dissertation data at the end of 2022, the Ministry of Education issued awards, such as Open Contribution to Dissertation, Contribution to Dissertation Access, and Outstanding Contribution to Dissertation Open Access. STUST won various awards for its outstanding performance, showing its quality operation and fruitful achievements in academic communication.

Director Zhi-Jing Yang of the Library of STUST indicated that in order to promote the concept of full-text authorization and openness of academic papers, the library has cooperated with the National Library in organizing the Inter-school Distinguished Dissertation Authorization and Contest for 14 consecutive years, committed to encouraging domestic doctoral and master students to make the full text of their dissertations public, authorizing the National Library and the school library to collect them, advocating the concepts of academic communication and academic ethics, and hoping to increase the visibility of Taiwan's academic research in the international arena.

President Cheng-wen Wu of STUST said that academic dissertations are an important academic asset of the university. STUST has achieved good results in the Taiwan Academic Resources Influence released by the National Library this year, won the first place in two items, ranking first among private universities of science and technology in Taiwan. This is an affirmation of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology's commitment to academic research and dissemination of the results of the authorization and publication of academic papers, as a result of the joint efforts of the teachers and students of the whole university.
