The Ocean Cup National Cheerleading Championship was an important warm-up match for the contestants before the college cup competition. The STUST contestants, under the advice of their coaches and senior sisters, were cautious with full attention to their usual training. The contestant in the first-level group is the current president of the STUST Competitive Cheerleading Club. Jia-wei Yan said that it is his first time to lead the club to participate in an off-campus competition. This time, he participated as the bottom member of the all-female team and the top member of the mixed team. It is hoped that in the future, more students who like cheerleading can join the club, train together, and participate in competitions to win glory for the school.

Under the influence of the pandemic, STUST has suspended the inter-departmental cup cheerleading competition for two consecutive years, which has a profound impact on the operation of various departments and student societies. Not only can students not properly inherit the school's major events and competitions every year, it but also affects the cultivation of outstanding cadres by departments and student societies. As well as opportunities for clubs to train professional players, the school and coaches still encourage students to participate in various competitions and teach students to cherish every opportunity to participate in each competition, so as to improve professional skills and cultivate teamwork. Even in the face of the shortage of manpower, the competitive cheerleading team is still committed to training and team competition.

Yu-rou Chen, Captain of the STUST's competitive cheerleading team, expressed his gratitude to the school for its support, the extracurricular team of the Academic Affairs Office for its help, Coach Yi-ting Huang for her guidance, and many graduates for their love. In terms of sports events, it was not easy for Group B schools to manage, especially under the trend of declining birth rate. The situation and conditions were also challenged, but he believes that as long as the team upholds the original intention, enthusiasm, and never-give-up spirit, the competitive cheerleading team will last forever and carry forward their development and inheritance. In May, the team will face the 111th Academic Year Cheerleading Tournament, hosted by the ROC University Sports Federation. In the remaining one month, the competitive cheerleading team will start intensive training in full swing. Under this condition, the team can continue to maintain outstanding results and win glory for the school.
