STUST recently held its annual student singing competition in the N Building Concert Hall. A long-standing event in STUST, this competition has come to the 24th session, which is of great heritage significance. This year, it was hosted by the Department of Business Administration and co-organized by 24 departments of the whole school. Due to the pandemic situation, the event has been suspended for three sessions. Under the careful planning and promotion of Ting-ting Wu, Chair of the student society of the Department of Business Management, this year’s event invited professional tutors to the site to serve as judges, including Hua Chen, Singer of the 2023 KKBOX Billboard "Annual Top 100"and lead singer of the ending song of the idol drama "Mischievous Kiss," Teacher Eva (Yu-yun Wang), teacher Little Lai (Shuo-bin Lai), Head of the Say Yes Classic Band, and saxophonist Teacher NiNi (Pei-ning Wu), etc. There were many prizes to draw on site, and the interaction between the performers and the audience was perfect.

The WOW Song Singing Contest took flowers as the thematic element, signifying that the students will bloom to their heart's content at the age of Mood for Love. The colorful colors represent youth, and the blooming of flowers shows the bravery and confidence of the students. It is hoped that through the singing contest, students will be encouraged to join leisure activities. It provides a platform to show singing skills, enhance music aesthetics and creates an aesthetic life. It is expected to attract the love of music for all students in the school. During the two-day preliminary rounds, 30 students were finally selected to advance to the finals. In addition to the top three individual singers and original groups, the organizer also set up a creative styling award for contestants and audiences in order to promote aesthetics and outfits. By the end of the event, a long-awaited good voice came to the scene—Hua Chen, one of the "Top 100 Singers of the Year" on the KKBOX Billboard, who sang "Reluctant Moments" and "Want to See the Sunset in May." As he interacted enthusiastically with the audience, the scene immediately fell into a commotion, with endless screams and comments. The judges said that all the contestants performed well and had high-level singing skills, and praised the students for their debuts.
