STUST recently organized the "2023 National High School Vocational Business Operation Project and Thematic Project Competition, which was grandly held in the Niantzi International Conference Hall of the school. This year, from Southern Luodong to Pingtung, there were nearly 170 teams signed up for the competition. Participants in this competition were divided into three groups: creative/entrepreneurial planning group, marketing planning/general topic group, and English project explanation group. After rigorous review and preliminary selection, each of the three groups will select a shortlist of presentation teams, and posters of the poster display group will be presented the venue. The competition was very fierce, with more than 200 teachers and students. It was a rare special competition for high school vocational students in the field of business management

This competition, based on the writing and teaching of the business plan, allowed participating students to simulate the actual start-up of a new business, to solve a specific brand product marketing problem, or to explain the product in English. While students could also practice their ability to give formal oral presentations in Chinese and English, participating teachers from different schools could also have the opportunity to observe each other’s performance and exchange their teaching experiences.

The process of this activity was wonderful. The participating teachers and students were excited and gained a lot from the feedback from the competition community. They all gave the College of Business Administration of STUST considerable affirmation for organizing this competition over the past 16 years. The participating schools this year performed greatly. The team of Kaohsiung City Senior Commercial Vocational School performed outstandingly and won double special awards in the creative/entrepreneurial planning group and marketing planning/general thematic group. The National Pingbei Senior High School won the Special Award in the English product explanation competition with its team’s language performance.

As Rui-shing Chang, Vice president of STUST, said, the high school business plan and special production competition, held by the College of Business Administration of STUST, had enter its 16th consecutive year, and this time it was also the one with the largest number of participating teams in 16 years. Over the past 16 years, the competition has seen the unlimited creativity and excellent performance of senior high school students every year. This year, everyone gave full play to their strengths and presented their best performance. In general, this competition allows high school vocational students to connect with universities. Through the planning competition, graduates can comprehensively apply what they have learned, and then come up with thoughtful solutions to practical problems. Through this competition and observation, students can be inspired and come up with more new thinking. This will surely inject new vitality into Taiwan's economy in the future.
