President accentuated ways and means to adjust the learning mentality to the reality that there is a clear gap between learning and the application in the workplace after graduation, reminding students to explore their personal interests, cultivate the ability to perceive, reflect, criticize and change their own situation and risks. He talked about how to break through the recurrence of generation gaps and class differences cycle, as well as the value and role of a lifelong learning mentality, which inevitably requires the adjustment of the teaching and learning goals and methods of university teachers and students under the development of artificial intelligence.

President Lin sincerely emphasized that the students of private universities of science and technology should pay attention to the relationship between learning situations and their future careers. He also pointed out that universities must also strive to promote students' motivation and ability in active and independent learning, hoping that students will consciously regard their university years as an opportunity for self-growth, and that teachers will offer them adequate learning objectives to stimulate their critical thinking, cooperation, communication and creativity. From self-examination within the framework of professional knowledge and skills to the process of making students able to ask good questions and seek answers by themselves, education becomes an opportunity for self-setting goals and pursuit of self-realization. President Lin called it a kind of "collaborative self-creation under the decentralized structure of multiple centers" and encouraged students to build their own life stage.

During the speech, President Lin used interesting cartoons, charts and specific statistical data to stimulate students to reflect on their real life situations. Compared with the suppression of power, the domestication of power is more terrifying. He hoped that students would break through the framework and make their learning more diverse. Since the topic was closely related to the students, most of the students could concentrate on the lectures and seriously respond to the worksheets designed by teachers. The interaction of this lecture fully demonstrated the school-governing philosophy of "whole person education" that President Cheng-wen Wu attaches great importance to, which has laid the foundation for the students of universities of science and technology to acquire the broad-mindedness and profound insight that future generations need.

Ching-jiang Hsueh, Director of the General Education Center of STUST, said that in addition to the knowledge learning of courses, how to cultivate "non-cognitive abilities" is also important. These abilities will help students survive and develop in the future workplace. The "Oral Report Competition," "Campus Exploration Competition," "Southern Taiwan Literary Award," "General Education Master Lecture," and many other activities can help students develop their potential and explore themselves, and see more possibilities in life.
