Before the official opening of Vision Get Wild Award 2023, the organizer held the opening ceremony first and presented the "Meta XR Hub Taiwan XR Social Welfare Award" during the meeting. The winning works of this award must use Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR) technology to promote, advocate, or solve social welfare issues. The work "Memories" by students from the Department of Multimedia and Game Science of STUST was the first to win the XR Social Welfare Award for Best Concept. After the ceremony, Deputy Director Huai-ren Li of the Department of Digital Development, Kaohsiung City Mayor Chi-mai Chen, and STUST Vice President Rui-shing Chang entered the venue to watch the exhibition, and experienced the games made by students from the Department of Multimedia and Entertainment Science, STUST, in front of the STUST stage, sincerely interacting with the participating students.

In order to increase the visibility of students' works in the exhibition, STUST particularly set up a small stage to narrow the distance between students and visitors, and invited Guo Guigui, a well-known Internet celebrity, to be the host of the event to create a warm atmosphere for the event. Through the game experience, directors' discussion, design works display, and other programs, the exhibitors had a better understanding of the development direction and continuous teaching objectives of the Department of Multimedia and Entertainment Science, the Department of Information Communication, and the Department of Visual Communication Design, and the Department of Creative Product Design.

President Cheng-wen Wu of STUST said that the Vision Get Wild Award 2023 is an iconic digital content design competition and exhibition in Taiwan. This year, the Department of Digital Technology and the Kaohsiung City Government jointly created the Vision Get Wild Award Digital Design Exhibition. The letters "V" and "W" were used to represent the Vision Get Wild Award 2023 by forming the symbol of a cheering stick that indicated a relay between the present to the future. It also coincided with the theme of the graduation exhibition of the College of Digital Design at STUST—a continuation of evolution and development. The event not only demonstrated students' creativity, imagination and innovative thinking, but also affirmed students' ability and contribution to our society. STUST has always adhered to the development direction of developing from local thinking to international vision. Through close cooperation with the industry and the combination of practical projects, STUST provides students with more personal learning opportunities, strengthens students' professional quality, and prepares for future career development, in order to lay a solid foundation for the learning of students at STUST, hoping that young people who are interested in digital design will come to STUST to create a better future.
