The Counseling Team of STUST organized a Dessert Healing Workshop, open to all students in the school. The school hoped to take this opportunity to remind the public, teachers, and students that counseling is not a sign of emotional problems if anyone has different concepts from what they think. Only students can participate in activities organized by psychologists. At STUST, the Counseling Team not only provides counseling sessions, but its professional psychologists also help students adjust to stress and enhance positive emotions.

The workshop held this time started with the psychologist guiding the students to experience the process of making desserts. Through mutual collaboration, the distance between strangers was shortened. At the same time, while waiting for the time for the desserts to be baked, the psychologists came to understand the participating students through chats and interaction. The students were asked to observe their own physical and mental states during the process. The psychologist further explains that the choice of ingredients is like the choice of various things in life, allowing students to experience how to give and take. In the end, students put the desserts they made by themselves through the plating and photography process, creating a pleasing work and gaining a sense of accomplishment.
Shu-zhen Zheng, Dean of STUST student affair, said that the response to this event was very good. Students reported their feelings after participating in the event. When they were immersed in the DIY creative process of dicing apples, mixing flour, boxing and shaping, they were distracted. Once this had happened, the pressure were naturally released unknowingly. While waiting for baking, students could also calm themselves down and think about how to deal with stress. They could also feel the relaxing atmosphere of the event; focusing on creating desserts can also be a way to relieve stress.
In their daily lives, people often face various pressures and need some relief. STUST has always been committed to creating a high-quality university campus living environment and paying attention to students' mental health.
