The selection of the 15th Goodwill Ambassador of STUST was successfully completed on November 8. The Goodwill Ambassador Team was established in 2003 and has been working for 20 years. Since 2006, it has been transformed into a society. The name of the society is "International Goodwill Ambassador Society," which has cultivated more than 300 goodwill ambassadors. The selection event, which has entered its 15th year, kicked off with a grand opening by the 14th goodwill ambassadors including the instructors.

The two vice presidents of STUST were invited to the event. Vice President Rui-shing Chang said that the goodwill ambassadors of STUST have been performing very well both inside and outside the campus, which has added a lot of honor and glory to the university. The event also invited the senior ambassadors of the 8th year to be the advisors. The selection activity was held s not only to recruit more new team members, but also, through such exchanges, pass on the vitality and team discipline of goodwill. Vice President De-guang Chou said that on important occasions, goodwill is not only a display of posture and deportment; it requires more learning, observation, response, and interaction. He hoped that students would be able to apply the skills and service attitude learned in the Goodwill team to their lives and work hard to move towards their dreams. At the same time, he asked all the team members not forget the original intention of joining the Goodwill team. Everyone shoulders the mission of inheritance as well as the hope to get better and better each time.

The STUST International Goodwill Ambassador Society adheres to the school motto of "Being Faithful and Honesty" and is committed to cultivating a group of goodwill ambassadors with good moral character. They represent the university and participate in major events both inside and outside the campus, serving as reception services and emcees and implementing "student diplomacy" in campus life. The contestants for the 15th Goodwill Ambassador must go through fixed-point catwalks, self-introductions, and witty questions and answers from each judge. After the fierce selection, a total of 8 people were selected, including Meng-shuan Wu, Zhi-ling Chang, Peng-chi Chen, Shin-yu Lin, Ya-wen Zheng, Ching-shuan Hu, Shin-ning Hsu, and Yu-yang Hong. The event also awarded the first place and the most popular awards to students Ching-shuan Hu and Meng-shuan Wu, respectively. Ching-shuan Hu said that she hoped that she would be able to improve her abilities in every aspect during her stay with the Goodwill team and become a dignified, generous goodwill ambassador. She hoped that in the future, through the rigorous and professional training of the society, she would become a decent standard concierge, showing the cordial and enthusiastic international etiquette of college youth.

Dean Shu-zhen Zheng of Student Affairs, who was one of the judges, said that the students who participated in the selection were very courageous to show themselves. The judges could see the enthusiasm and ambition of the students. Every student who participated in the goodwill selection, whether selected or not, must uphold the spirit of participating in the selection. The process was a kind of experience; even if one was not selected, she believed that this experience had expanded the horizons of all the participating students. In the future, they are still encouraged to participate in the society’s training to increase their self-esteem.
