The 17th National High School Business Plan and Thematic Production Competition in 2024 held by STUST came to a successful conclusion recently. This competition has been held for 17 years, mainly to create a stage for vocational high school students across the country to showcase their talents. It offers students an opportunity to show what they have learned and create excellent works, and it is also a platform for mutual communication, observation and learning. Through this competition, STUST encourages students to remain undaunted by hardships, move forward courageously, make strides forward, and continue to pursue excellence.

The National High School Business Plan and Thematic Production Competition, organized by STUST, mainly allows participating students to understand how to write business plans, marketing plan, and other special projects. STUST integrated also other courses in the process of participating in the competition. The various business management knowledge acquired was simulated and applied to actual business operating situations, allowing students to systematically think about creative execution, new ventures, and marketing plans. Students would also be trained in the ability to write written reports, give formal oral presentations, and communicate clearly and effectively. Through diversified learning activities, students could enhance interaction, expand their horizons, and stimulate entrepreneurial thinking and creative abilities.

The competition was fierce, with 43 schools, 156 groups, and 593 students participating in the preliminary round. After careful selection, 21 groups from Group A, 20 groups from Group B, 10 groups from Group C, and the poster group advanced to the finals. The winning team of the Marketing Creativity/Creative Entrepreneurship Group was the "Revival of Taiwanese Cuisine Started by Taiwanese Flavor" team from Wenhua High School, which won the Outstanding Performance Award. The winning team of the General Thematic Group was the "Building Chiankun Organic Ecological Farm: Farmer's Market" by Kaohsiung Business High School. The winning team of the English Product Introduction Group was the "Instax camera, mini liplay" team from Deguang Girls' High School, which won the Outstanding Performance award. Each of these winning teams received 8,000 NTD as a winning bonus.

Vice President De-guang Chou of STUST expressed his special thanks to the teachers and students of the participating schools for coming early in the morning for the competition. He said that the teams participating in this event were quite enthusiastic, which showed that this competition had been deeply favored by high school vocational teachers and students across the country. This event will be transformed again next year, looking forward to a better quality and beneficial event for high school vocational students across the country. Ren-peng Huang, Dean of the College of Business and Management of STUST, thanked all the teachers and students who attended the meeting for persisting until the end, making the closing ceremony full, and the enthusiasm for participation filled the entire venue, making this event a successful conclusion with joy. STUST looks forward to the 18th event, hoping it to bring together more high school vocational teachers and students across the country to participate in the competition.
