STUST Youth and Elderly Co-creation USR team and South District Longang Elementary School of Tainan City recently jointly held held Yuyan Kunlun Teaching Achievement Exhibition and Mother's Day Thanksgiving event. The event was hosted and co-organized by South District Longang Elementary School of Tainan City and STUST Youth and Elderly Co-created USR Project Team. Along with the principal, teachers, and students of Longang Elementary School, the teachers and students of the Youth and Elderly USR Project Team of STUST, District Chief Shiu-hua Shiao of South District, Tainan City, Representatives of the Tainan City Legislator Service Office, Tainan City Council members, residents of Kunsen Community, Fubon Life partners, and other distinguished guests participated in the grand event on the eve of Mother's Day, creating an unforgettable holiday feast where talents were nurtured and green and silver were integrated.

Under the careful planning of Principal Chi-rong Li and the teachers and students of Longang Elementary School jointly presented their learning results to the audience, conveying their appreciation for Mother's Day through music, drama reading, martial arts, dance and other forms. The warm emotion of gratitude, together with students’ versatile achievements, made the whole event more exciting and moving. In addition, the STUST Youth and Elderly Co-creation USR team and colleagues from Fubon Life Insurance also included home safety education and dementia prevention board game promotion in the event, allowing children to learn through interaction and enjoyment.

The climax of the activity was when students from the Youth and Elderly Co-created USR team of STUST led the senior citizens and senior students of the Kunsen Community and primary school students from Longang Elementary School to dance along with the MV of the original song "Hai Hai Kunsen," which was produced by the USR Co-creation Team of STUST and the Department of Information Communication. The atmosphere at the scene was warm and enthusiastic. The teachers and students danced and sang the local song together, making this local song more deeply rooted in the hearts of the people and reaching the cultural level. Inheriting sustainability also demonstrates the Youth and Elderly USR team's local responsibility for implementing community practices and caring for sustainability. They have jointly created talent cultivation.

Mei-zhu Chen, who hosts of the STUST Youth and Elderly Co-created USR Project, said that she is very grateful to Longang Elementary School for its long-term partners. From the beginning of the project, the project team trained young caregivers into little guardians who protect the elderly on the ground. Today, we see the active learning achievements of the little caretaking staff. Under the careful leadership and planning of Principal Li, the team is allowed to see the harmony and joy of the elderly, the middle-aged and the young in the community. In addition, the team is honored to be able to co-organize the event with Longang Elementary School. The students’ active participation made the scene full of warmth and touching. The team’s local creations were enthusiastically sung and danced along during the event, which was very exciting. This event was not only a celebration of Mother's Day, but also the result of the joint efforts of the USR team of STUST, Longang Elementary School, and residents of Kunsen Community. Prepared with care and performed with love, it added a beautiful sight to the festival. STUST looks forward to more of such activities in the future so that the warmth and care of the community will continue to bloom.
