The 2024 Ranking of Taiwan's Best Universities of Global Vision Magazine was released. STUST has been ranked first among the universities of science and technology in the "Humanities and Social Sciences" category and continues to occupy the top spot among the "Top 30 Technical and Vocational Universities", becoming the first private university in the south. STUST has recently focused on issues of artificial intelligence (AI). It was the only private science and technology university listed among the 17 universities for cooperation in the AI keynote speech given by NVIDIA founder Jenson-Huang J in Taiwan in early June.

De-guang Chou, Acting President of STUST, said that AI is a very important trend. Whether it is equipment, medical care, scientific research, AI is needed, and more applications will appear in the future. To this end, STUST continues to deploy five university-level technology centers: Smart Health and Medical Technology Center, Smart Green Energy Technology Center, Sports Technology Center, Smart Electric Vehicle Technology Center, and Smart Manufacturing Technology Center. STUST will continue to integrate industrial resources with technology research and development energy to enable students to specialize in AI technology, make good use of AI tools in the industry, and become indispensable key talents for enterprises. Acting President Chou emphasized, "AI should not be limited to engineering colleges. The application and popularization of AI must integrate professional knowledge to create new products or new service models. Therefore, cross-field learning and cooperation among various colleges are particularly critical." STUST promotes industry-university research through these five major science and technology centers and 11 department-level technical research centers. In terms of teaching, it designs various interdisciplinary credit courses and actively cooperates with industry to lead students to carry out projects or industry internships, providing the latest teaching content and practical opportunities, cultivating problem-solving abilities, and gaining practical experience through "learning by doing."

STUST has been recognized by the majority of young students and parents, with a number of students ranked among top universities of science and technology. In addition, the College of Business Administration, STUST, passed the International Business Education Accreditation (AACSB) in May 2017, becoming the first private technology university in the country to obtain this international accreditation. In the category of "Humanities and Social Sciences" STUST was ranked first in the national university of science and technology, which it well deserved.

Based on the combination of the design and development capabilities of top universities and the implementation and system integration capabilities of STUST, STUST has been implementing cross-field cooperation, with focus on environmental sustainability and green energy.
