  STUST Leads the Collaboration of Industry, Government, Academia and Research to Help Enterprises Achieve Carbon Neutrality and Digital Transformation, Creating a New Future for Smart Green Energy《    2025/2/24    

 

As global industries face the dual challenges of carbon neutrality and AI-driven digital transformation, STUST, organized the 2025 Cross-Domain Technology, Innovative Future: Enterprise Smart Green Energy Dual-Axis Transformation Competitiveness Forum and Technology Matchmaking Meeting, as a result of its collaboration with National Cheng Kung University’s Greater Southern Research Industrialization Platform to integrated resources from industry, government, academia and research. The conference was held on February 14 at Southern Taiwan Innovation Park of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, bringing together nearly 100 industry and academic elites to explore corporate innovation, technology, and sustainable development opportunities.

【STUST and National Cheng Kung University’s Greater Southern Research Industrialization Platform jointly organized the 2025 Enterprise Smart Green Energy Dual-Axis Transformation Forum and Technology Matchmaking Conference, where representatives from industry, government, academia and research discussed the sustainable future of industries. The event featured distinguished guests, including 】

Chairman Kun-long Liao of Sanlong Gear, Deputy Director Chong-wen Guo of the Tainan Branch of the Industrial Park Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, R&D Director Tsong-yuan Guo of STUST, and Chairman Bao-hong Yeh of the Tainan Industrial Park Manufacturers Association. The forum invited Tainan’s hidden champion enterprises—Sanlong Gear and Tsanyang Enterprise—along with ITRI energy diagnosis experts, to share their successful experiences in achieving net-zero sustainability and smart green energy transformation. Additionally, the technical team from STUST showcased their latest patented R&D achievements and engaged in in-depth discussions with participating enterprises.

【Kun-long Liao, Chairman of Sanlong Gear was sharing his insights on innovative green energy transformation strategies and best practices in his keynote lecture—"Green Energy Smart Factory: Turning Gears, Facing the Future."】

STUST received great credit for its role in supporting local Enterprises’ low-carbon, smart transformation from industry leaders, including Deputy Director Chong-wen Guo of the Industrial Park Administration Bureau (Tainan Branch), Chairman Bao-hong Yeh of the Tainan Industrial Park Manufacturers Association, and Director Chun-hui Guo of the Southern District Office of the Science Park Industry Association. They commended STUST for its significant contributions to helping local enterprises transition to low-carbon, smart, and energy-efficient operations. Other notable attendees, including Zong-tsan Li, Director of the Tainan Industrial Park Service Center; Shing-nan Guo, Director of the Guantian Industrial Park Service Center; Geng-yuan Guo, Director of the Yongkang Industrial Park Service Center; Fang-mao Yang, Director of the Shinying Industrial Park Service Center; and Feng-rou Chen, Team Leader of the Puzi & Yizhu Industrial Park Service Center, expressed their hope that this event would further strengthen industry-university collaboration and accelerate the dual-axis transformation of enterprises within industrial parks.

【Wen-shian Huang, Chairman of Tsanyang Enterprise, was delivering a compelling presentation on "Altruism and Sustainable Common Good," sharing insights on how businesses can achieve sustainable development through green factory construction and the adoption of intelligent systems. His presentation left a lasting impression on the audience.】

Kun-long Liao, Chairman of Sanlong Gear, offered a meticulous account on how to build a world-class green energy smart factory, implement ESG principles, and achieve technological innovation and smart production management. Chairman Wen-shian Huang of Tsanyang Enterprise, in his talk on "Altruism and Sustainable Common Good," explained sustainable business strategies, including green factory development and intelligent system integration within a global business framework. Zhi-wei Lin, Deputy Manager of ITRI, presented an in-depth analysis on "Enterprise Net-Zero Sustainable Energy Management Framework and Practice." He discussed current net-zero policy trends and strategies for leveraging government resources and generative AI to enhance energy management efficiency and unlock green business opportunities.

The second half of the conference featured a technology matchmaking session, where R&D Director Tsong-yuan Guo of STUST led a technical team in showcasing numerous patented innovations and facilitating direct industry collaboration.

President Neng-fu Huang emphasized that STUST is dedicated to being a university of practical AI technology and remains committed to supporting local enterprises in achieving dual-axis transformation. The university has already trained hundreds of certified professionals in carbon inventory and energy diagnostics. Over the past two years, it has collaborated with more than 200 companies, securing industry-university funding exceeding NT$ 40 million. Moving forward, STUST will continue investing in sustainable talent cultivation and working closely with the industry to foster a mutually beneficial ecosystem for innovation and green energy transformation.
