The strategic alliance signing ceremony was jointly presided over by President Neng-fu Huang of STUST and President Ching-hui Yu of Tainan Maritime University. Ms. Su-juan Mo, Chairperson of the Shenghui Federation of the Republic of China, also attended the event, witnessing the beginning of a promising collaboration between the two institutions.

President Ching-hui Yu’s Endorsement: Parents' Association Encourages their Children to Choose Tainan for Higher Education

 Alongside expressing his enthusiasm for this collaboration, President Ching-hui Yu shared that the children of the President of the school's Parents’ Association have all chosen to study at STUST. He commended the university as a leading institution in Tainan and the top choice for many students. He further highlighted Tainan Maritime University’s rich experience and esteemed traditions in maritime education. Through this partnership, he hopes to offer students more diverse learning opportunities, strengthening their professional skills and practical competencies.

A Shared Vision for a Brighter Future

 Moving forward, both institutions will engage in comprehensive collaboration across academic exchanges, industry-academia partnerships, and resource sharing. In terms of academic exchanges, faculty and students from both institutions will participate in joint learning initiatives, co-develop courses, and elevate teaching quality and academic standards. In terms of industry-academia collaboration, the two schools will launch cooperative projects with industries, providing students with internship and employment opportunities, thereby enhancing their practical skills and workplace competitiveness. As for resource sharing, educational materials, laboratory equipment, and library resources will be jointly utilized to optimize resource efficiency and create a more enriching learning environment for students. This collaboration is already underway. For instance, this year, Tainan Maritime University has partnered with the Department of Business Administration at STUST to establish the "Business Management Service Special Class" and with the Department of Electrical Engineering to create the "Semiconductor and Display Equipment Manufacturing Cooperation Special Class." 。

The event was graced by Tainan Maritime University’s President Ching-hui Yu, Secretary Bai-chuan Yang, Academic Director Ying-wen Yan, Academic Director Jian-shiang Huang, General Director Chang-jie Li, Internship Director Hong-ren Hu, Library Director Fang-wen Li, Counseling Director Yi-jun Guo, Director Gui-mei Lin of E-commerce Department, Director Chao-bin Wu of Mechanical and Electrical Department, Director Mei-zu Chen of Business Management Department, Director Yi-rong Wang of Aquatic Food Department, and Director Jing-song Chao of Department of Electronic Engineering. Their presence added prestige to the event.

Additionally, Vice President Te-kuang Chou, Dean of the College of Humanities, Dean Chao-tang Yu, Dean Wei-jin Chang, Director Sheng-shiong Chang, Curator Yu-lin Zheng, Dean Ming-tsun Tsai, Dean Ren-peng Huang, Dean Bing-zhang Chen, Dean Chun-sheng Chang, along with directors of various departments and research institutes, also attended the ceremony, making it a grand and momentous occasion.
