  Join Forces to Cultivate Diverse Technical and Vocational Talents! STUST Partners with National Hua-Nan Commercial Vocational High School to Advance Technical and Vocational Education    2025/5/12    

 

To promote the development of technical and vocational education, STUST has established a closer partnership with the Hua-Nan Commercial Vocational High School (hereinafter referred to as Hua-Nan High School). A strategic alliance contractsigning ceremony was held recently at the College of Business Administration atSTUST. The event was co-hosted by President Nen-fu Huang of STUST andPrincipal Wang Shi-ru of Hua-Nan High School. Both expressed their hopes for thefuture of this collaboration, aiming to create more diverse learning and developmentopportunities for faculty and students at both institutions through resource sharing andacademic exchanges. Together, they seek to cultivate the next generation of technicaland vocational talent.

Hua-Nan High School has long been recognized for producing outstanding graduates in business, design, and foreign languages. Over the years, many of its students havegone on to pursue further studies in related fields at STUST, highlighting a strongconnection between the two institutions in talent cultivation.

STUST’s excellence has not only earned student praise but also has been widelyrecognized across professional sectors. Its proactive and forward-thinking AIinitiatives have earned it a coveted partnership with NVIDIA. Notably, during apublic speech in Taiwan by CEO Jensen Huang of NVIDIA, STUST’s logo wasprominently displayed on the official backdrop—underscoring its leadership in AIeducation. In the Global Vision 2025 employer survey, STUST ranked as the topprivate university nationally, and number one in STUST for both “Most PreferredUniversity by the Financial Sector” and “Most Popular Internship Source.” Similarly,in the 2025 Cheers Magazine survey, it was named the top private university ofscience and technology in STUST. Additionally, the 2025 “University Brand Power” report by 104 Job Bank named STUST the only scienceandtechnologyuniversity toappear in the “Mass Communication” category of the national academic grouprankings. It also secured leading positions among private universities in bthe“Engineering”and“RecreationandSports”categories. The College of Engineering atSTUST is particularly strong, having successfully passed the fourth cycle of IEETengineering accreditation in 2025. The College of Business Administration boastsinternational competitiveness, having first received AACSB accreditation in 2017 and successfully renewing it in 2022. This makes STUST the only private university ofscience and technology in Taiwan to hold this prestigious recognition. STUST’sforward-thinking initiatives in AI have also received significant attention. During apublic speech in Taiwan by CEO Jensen Huang of Nvidia, STUST’s universityemblem was prominently displayed on the event backdrop—highlighting itsleadership in the field of AI. These recognitions by industry, media, and internationalaccreditation bodies serve as powerful evidence of STUST’s outstanding performancein education and talent development.

STUST’s delegation at the signing ceremony included Vice Dean Mei-lan Lin ofAcademic Affairs, Dean Shu-zhen Zheng of Academic Affairs, Dean Wei-jin Changof General Affairs, Chief Librarian Yu-lin Zheng, Dean Ming-tsun Tsai of the Collegeof Engineering, Dean Ren-peng Huang of the College of Business Administration,Dean Bing-zhang Chen of the College of Digital Design, and Dean Chun-shengChang of the College of Smart Health. Also in attendance were numerous departmentchairs: Yi-shu Lin (Business Administration), Yong-ji Chang (Finance and Banking),Jing-zhong Lin (International Business), Ding-chao Wang (Information Management), Jia-hua Chang (Industrial Management and Information), Ya-ling Tsai (Marketingand Distribution Management), Bei-han Yang (Leisure Business Management), Chen-yi Huang (Visual Communication Design), You-de Lu (Information Communication),Yong-ming Huang (Multimedia and Computer Entertainment Science), and Zhu-yuCheng (Innovative Product Design). Their presence underscored STUST’s strongcommitment to this partnership.

The successful establishment of this strategic alliance was largely made possiblethrough the efforts of Su-juan Mo, Chair of the Republic of China ShenghuiFederation and a distinguished alumna of STUST. Her long-standing dedication toeducation has laid a solid foundation for this collaboration. President Mo alsothoughtfully prepared exquisite snacks crafted by Shenghui Federation students,offering them as gifts to attending faculty and leaders, further demonstrating herheartfelt support and enthusiasm. Educators from both institutions shared joyfulmoments and took commemorative photos, expressing their excitementfor deepercooperation ahead.

In his speech, Principal Shi-ru Wang emphasized that his educational philosophyaligns strongly with the principles of technical and vocational education. He firmlybelieves that this form of education must be practical and application-oriented,nurturing students’ professional skills and workplace competitiveness. Through thisalliance with STUST, he hopes to offer Hua-Nan High School students greater accessto resources and academic advancement, empowering them to pursue their goals andrealize their potential in a diverse learning environment.
