The Honorable Mention-winning film, "Cherish Food, Be Grateful, Love in Longdu," documents Longdu Elementary School's two-decade journey in food and agriculture education. Through its "From Origin to Fork" curriculum, children engaged in hands-on farming and prepared a thank-you dinner, symbolizing the school's dedication to food safety and land stewardship. The film not only captures the warmth of the educational process but also showcases Longdu Elementary School’s pioneering achievement as the first elementary school in Taiwan to obtain rice production and marketing certification.

The second Honorable Mention-winning work, "Longdu–Good Food," focuses on the labor of farming and the personal growth of students. It documents how they irrigated the land with their sweat and expressed gratitude through sharing their harvest. This work underscores that food and agriculture education is not merely about imparting knowledge; it is also about shaping character, fostering gratitude, and building responsible attitudes. The film conveys that food is more than just nourishment; it is a vital bridge connecting community, land, and culture.

Prof. Dan-Ching Liang emphasized that the Yushiu Cup is not only a creative competition but also a platform for young students to engage with public issues through visual storytelling. Through visual creation, we can capture the emotional resonance of events while also deepening the public’s understanding of key issues such as food and agriculture education, local sustainability, and cultural heritage. This is the true power of images and the most profound value of this competition.

Since the enactment of the Food and Agriculture Education Act in 2022, food education has become a pivotal initiative driving social transformation. It connects production areas, consumers, and cultural memories, aligning closely with the lifestyle changes envisioned in Taiwan's Net Zero Emissions by 2050 strategy. Food and agriculture education also plays an essential role in local revitalization and balanced urban–rural development, fostering mutual understanding through shared food culture.

President Nen-Fu Huang remarked that the power of education extends far beyond the classroom: it connects children to the land, helps them understand food, and nurtures a genuine sense of responsibility and a positive outlook on life. Film and television productions, employing documentary techniques, vividly present the profound meaning of local food and agriculture education while reflecting the younger generation’s diverse perspectives on sustainability, social care, and cultural heritage. This competition also encourages the integration of AI creative technologies, allowing students to merge technology with the humanities and to explore the potential of cross-disciplinary storytelling. STUST aims to continue promoting stories of the land and social issues to a broader audience through the fusion of video and technology, bringing more creativity and action into sustainable education.

Since its establishment in 2003, the Yushiu Cup Creative Awards has been a major platform for fostering Taiwanese youth creativity and visual expression. This year, 96 entries were submitted to the Motion Picture category. The Yushiu Education Foundation stated that the introduction of AI creative technology for the first time has effectively reduced production costs, improved creative quality, and enhanced the standard of submissions. The Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to providing a platform where young creators can unleash their potential and contribute to the vitality of Taiwan’s creative industries.
