📢 STUST Faculty Overseas Research Grant Applications Now Open!
To encourage full-time faculty members to actively engage in academic research, enhance research capabilities, and strengthen international academic competitiveness, STUST is offering overseas research grants. Faculty members are encouraged to apply before December 12th, 2025!
🔹 Eligibility and Application Categories
📌 International Academic Research & Industry-Academia Collaboration
• Who can apply? Faculty members interested in conducting domestic or international academic research or industry-academia collaboration abroad.
• Priority consideration: Applicants who have published papers in international journals or presented at academic conferences within the past five years.
🔹 Application Process
1. Submit a research proposal and application form.
2. The proposal must be reviewed by the applicant’s department (institute, center, or degree program) and faculty supervisor.
3. Upon approval and recommendation by the faculty supervisor, the applicant must submit the application form (including budget estimation) and research proposal (both hard copy and digital file) to Shu-Hao (Mike), the responsible officer at the Office of International Affairs.
4. The review committee will evaluate the application. (Applicants must attend the internal review committee meeting and present their proposal.)
5. Teachers who have previously implemented this project are required to submit a report detailing their past performance and capacity as part of their application. This report will serve as a reference for the review committee in assessing and approving funding.
🔹 Funding Details
💰 Maximum grant amount: Up to NT$250,000 per person per year
📅 Funding duration: Up to 30 days, preferably during the summer break
📆 Completion deadline: Projects must be completed by September 30, 2026, and all expense reimbursements must comply with grant funding regulations and be processed by the end of September 2026.
🔹 Obligations of Grant Recipients
✅ Within one month after project completion, recipients must submit receipts for reimbursement, complete an online research summary, and submit a hard copy of the final report for department and faculty review.
✅ Within one year after project completion, recipients must apply for a bilateral research project or an integrated research project with the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) or sign an international industry-academia collaboration agreement.
