The list of license approvals of the 2018 industrial engineering manager license exam and other related license examinations, sponsored by the Chinese Institute of Industrial Engineers (CIIE), was recently announced. 39 students from the Department of Industrial Management and Information, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, passed the exam, 3 passed the production and operation management exam, 17 passed the quality management exam, 18 students passed the operation study exam, and 1 passed the service management exam. Among them, senior student Yin-Shiu Luo passed 3 exams, winning the license of industrial engineer and great achievements.

Prof. Ching-Lu Chiu of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, who has had great experience, guided the students in taking the license examinations,. The pass rate of the operation study was 69.23%, which was higher than the 42.86. % of national pass rate.
Senior student Yin-Shiu Luo, who had taken courses of the quality management, operation study, and operation management in her junior year, took the industrial engineer's license examination when she became a senior.
