2019 International Conference on Knowledge-Based Economy and Globalization Management was held at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology.

The 15th International Conference on Knowledge-Based Economy and Globalization Management was held by Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology at the Nianci International Conference Hall of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology. During the meeting, Dr. Sam Basu of the University of William Patterson was invited to give a keynote speech. There were about 300 academic leaders from the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Portugal, the United States, and Vietnam, as well as well-known international scholars and approximately 300 academic elites from various universities in the country. It was a rare academic event in the business sector in the southern region.

The conference adopted a public call for paper, and 53 papers were invited to the seminar after the review and evaluation. In the two-day agenda, the conference was will be divided into 10 seminar sessions, each of which published and discussed papers on different topics. This year the topics include: knowledge management and business education, corporate social responsibility and corporate ethics, financial markets and financial accounting under the trend of globalization, e-commerce and emerging business models, project management information technology applications, economic development and international trade, strategies Management, marketing and consumer behavior, food and leisure business management, human resources management, etc. The topics were the most important research topics in the current business management field, and many scholars and graduate students are invited to join the discussions.

As Deng-Maw Lu, President of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, pointed out in his opening speech, "knowledge-based economy" and "globalization" are the two most important world trends. Due to the rapid development of information technology, it not only changed the development mode and competition mode of various industries, but also made the transmission of knowledge, experience, technology and various information no longer restricted by national boundaries. In such a general trend of globalization, adapting to the trend and actively seeking international development is the only way to survive and win. President Lu said that Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, in view of the importance of internationalization, has also actively promoted the degree of internationalization of the campus in recent years. In addition to holding regular international academic seminars every year, it also sends university students to the sister schools in the United States, Japan, and Japan. Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Spain and other European to study for double degrees. At the same time, more than 300 international students from more than 20 different countries have been recruited at the school. Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology has eight All English programs, doctoral and master program, and actively recruits students from all over the world. Among them, Southern Taiwan Institute of Business Administration's Doctor of Management, Global Master Business Management (GMBA), and International Business Program, and International Finance Program of the University are all taught in English and enrolled international students. This shows that Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology is quite positive in promoting internationalization, and the performance of internationalization has also been affirmed by the Ministry of Education and different communities.

De-Guang Chou, Dean of the College of Business Administration, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, said that this conference has been held every year since 2004. The number of participants and that of submissions received continues to grow. It has become an annual academic event in business management in the southern region. By participating in the conference, one can not only share the academic research results in the field of business management in the international arena, but also exchange ideas and even get to know the partners of future cooperative research. It is a very meaningful activity. Therefore, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology will continue to invest resources in the future, expanding and deepening international academic exchanges.
