In order to strengthen the knowledge and understanding of "practical application" of technical and vocational education on the part of high school students, society, and enterprises, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology held the 2019 Higher Education Sprout Program Achievements Exhibition, which has appeared in the Sanlian Hall of the university for 5 consecutive years. This achievement exhibition not only exhibited the research and development achievements of the university, but also invited a total of 33 vocational high school and one junior high school teachers and students. The purpose is to establish a technical college and high school vocational cooperation, integrate educational resources, and promote students’ learning. A total of 8 exhibition areas included energy-saving cars, computer mice, Pepper, wealth management robots, champions of international competitions in the hospitality industry, and results of overseas internships

The visiting schools included Mingtai High School from Taichung, Beidou Business High School from Changhua, Shiushui Engineering High School and Huwei Agriculture and Engineering High School from Yunlin, Hwanan Business High School from Chiayi, Taiying Engineering High School from Shinying, Affiliate High School of Tainan University, and Kangsan Agriculture and Engineering High School from Kaohsiung, along with Chungcheng High School and Lichi High School from Kaohsiung City. There were 74 buses taking approximately 2,500 teachers and students to Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology. More vocational high schools than last year came to the festival. The visiting students not only learned about the achievements of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology under the support of the Higher Education Sprout Program, but also visited the various areas on campus, including the library, the sixth dormitory, and the living and gourmet area in the majestic hall, learning more about the colorful student life at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology.

Since its establishment 50 years ago, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology has actively positioned itself as the best partner for the industry, and has been actively developing on the basis of teaching innovation and dedication to production and education. It has won "High Education Sprout Program," "Model University of Science and Technology," "The Teaching Excellence Program” sponsored the Ministry of Education to construct professional hardware and space, such as the newly completed Inter-University Alliance Industrial Technology and Internship Building as well as the Advanced Industry-University Technology R & D Center. They are meant to promote the development of technical and vocational education. The school not only continues to develop towards being a "first-class school," but also successfully reduces the gap between academic learning and practical uses. Through its connection with the industry, the university cultivates the required talents with the industry in order to achieve the goal of making students employed immediately after graduation. This activity advocated the concept of "providing students with a suitable learning stage through technical and vocational education, enabling students with different traits to acquire professional skills, and then developing their talents to find their own world."
