The team instructor Cheng-Meng Shie said, "Due to the impact of the pandemic, most of the graduation exhibitions this year were cancelled or changed to online exhibitions. Therefore, how to gain exposure for their works on the Internet is a new challenge for students. No matter how the rules changed, high-quality works can still have the best publicity. This game has drawn a lot of attention ever its first show in the Bahamut Video Game Show. After the special showcase in the show, the game has had nearly 5,500 views on YouTube in a very short time, showing how its amazing power can appeal to game players.”

Zhi-Cheng Sun, Chairman of The Department of Multimedia and Entertainment Science at STUST, said that the department has been deeply engaged in game design education for many years, and has been recognized by all walks of life in terms of teaching quality and student performance. Among the graduation works this year, in addition to "The Vine Won’t Grow," "SOMNUS" won the bronze medal of the 2020 Technology and Humanities and Arts Creativity Competition. Another work "Drug Hacking Effect" won the first prize in the Bahamut ACG Creation Competition recently. In the Bahamut ACG Creation Competition, the student works had to compete with industry teams on the same platform. It is very difficult to win the top prize against the presence of such strong enemies. In order to allow the excellent works developed by students to gain ground for further development, the department has promoted a practical graduate program. With their award-winning works, the students can enter the graduate school and continue their development in the direction of commercialization. This is all the sustainable development of outstanding creative talents of the department.
