In order to encourage colleges and universities to raise funds from outside the campus (enterprises, alumni, foundations, etc.) to help disadvantaged students so that they can study without worries, the Ministry of Education also gave support in the form of reciprocal subsidies and added to the funds raised. All the funds raised by STUST will be used in accordance with the regulations and for academic counseling of students who are disadvantaged by the overall economy, so that these disadvantaged students can obtain a better educational environment. Since 2017, STUST has raised funds from all walks of life, and the relative subsidy amount of the Ministry of Education has benefited more than 32,000 disadvantaged students.
