2019/12/26 Department of Applied English, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, won the championship and an excellence award in the 2019 English Speech Contests for Taiwan High School and University Students Bei-Chen Hsu, Yu-Si Liu, and Pei-Rong You, senior students of the Department of Applied English, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, recently participated in the 2019 English Speech Contests for Taiwan High School and University Students. The contest, jointly organized by American Institute in Taiwan, Kaohsiung Branch Office, 2019/12/25 "The Voice of My Island" by the Department of Information and Communication, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, won the 2019 PEOPO Citizen News Award from the Public Television Station. The Public Television Station recently held an awards ceremony for the 2019 PEOPO Citizen News Award at the Brainstorming University Conference Center.The total number of entries for this award this year was 179. Having been strictly selected by senior professional journalists, various competitions were shortlisted in 9 groups to enter the final 2019/12/24 Chair Professor Yi-Ren Su of the Department of Biotechnology and Food Technology, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, won the Academic Pioneer Award The Ministry of Science and Technology recently held the 2019 Future Technology exhibition encouraged academic professors to apply the results of their research and development to industrial product and set up new companies on campus. After reviewing various entrepreneurial cases by members of the industry-academia research community, 14 successful entrepreneurial cases were grandly recommended this year and won the Academic Pioneer Award 2019/12/23 Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology's State-owned Enterprise Team The "Leben" team, composed of five students—Yu-Jie Chen, Tsung-Yu Chen, Te-An Chen, De-Sheng Feng, and Tsen-Yi Wang—and jointly directed by Prof. Wei-Zhen Yang from the Department of International Business and Prof. Jia-Jun Lin from the Department of Visual Communication and Design, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology 2019/12/18 Integration of AI and Design by Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology: the Department of Electronic Engineering and the Department of Creative Product Design won the 2019 Fresh Creativity Competition Championship and Excellent Award. The 2019 Fresh Creativity Contest held an award ceremony recently at the Shinyi Hall of Zhengjiang Building, National Taiwan University.
