2019/5/28 Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology was greatly recognized by US officials for having made good use of technology and new media to cultivate a community and effectively improve the quality of for the elderly. Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology implemented the University's Social Responsibility Program (USR) sponsored by the Ministry of Education of through the power of innovative technology and new media to attain the project goal of “building up a friendly community for the elderly. 2019/5/28 Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and National Tsing Hua University became the biggest winners in the 2019 IEET Teaching Excellence Award. The Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET) held a teaching excellence award every two years. It was recently presented at the Evergreen Maritime Museum. 2019/5/27 "Friendly Family, Heart to Heart" Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology has seen great achievements over the past decade in its implementation of Taiwan Hostfamily Program by the Ministry of Education. The Ministry of Education held an achievement exhibition to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Taiwan Hostfamily Program. 2019/5/24 2019 Visual Performance Grand Prix Competition announced the final results: the College of Digital Design, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, won the "Best School Award of the Year" for five consecutive years.
