The EMBA Alumni Association of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology recently invited EMBA alumni, Chairman Chang, President Lu, and many other teachers, as well as Southern Taiwan STUST Alumni Association, Tainan City STUST Alumni Association, Women Business Promotion Conference, and South Branch of Cross-Strait EMBA Federation, to come to its New Year gathering. Nearly 160 guests gathered together in Tainan Silk Place Hotel, greeting each other, celebrating the New Year, and wishing everybody a successful Year of the Pig with the great fortune and wealth.

The New Year gathering offered a ticket contest for the celebration, and a karaoke singing party. In addition to the fun of the party, the 7th EMBA Alumni Association’s planning team hoped to share this joy and share it with disadvantaged groups. Therefore, there was also a “Blessing Office” at the site, which invited the alumni to make donation to the disadvantaged groups by means of charitable donations or donations of rice. The participants on the site responded enthusiastically to this charity event and raised nearly NT$ 120,000. After the meeting, the planning team decided to make pre-purchase of 300 kilograms of rice and donate it to Chiayi Correctional Institution; the rest of the fund will be given to the disadvantaged students of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, helping them in their study and future growth.

President Deng-Maw Lu of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology participated in the gathering, greeting and wishing everybody a happy New Year in the Year of the Pig. He also encouraged the EMBA alumni that leadership is the core of the EMBA program. In recent years, STUST EMBA program has produced a lot of top 100 MVP managers; in 2018, Ming-Shiao Wu, one of the 12th EMBA alumnus, founded Libobo Chain laundry and was listed as one of the 2018 Top 100 MVP Managers in the "Service Innovation" category. In addition, many EMBA alumni have been appointed as the presidents and directors of different sectors, public welfare, and other business groups. This has proved that the Southern Taiwan EMBA program is a good place for business training. However, a high-quality university should be a learning environment with the best software and hardware. Thanks to the full support of Chairman Chang, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology has recently spent a lot of money and actively invested in the construction of campus corners and classrooms. The university has worked hard to cultivate talents for the purpose of learning and has strived to improve academic reputation and industrial technology, so that alumni will be proud to be a member of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology.

As Director Zheng-Shun Wu is expected to finish his term, he said emotionally that, that during the past two-year, thanks to the support of all the supervisors, all the activities had been ere successfully promoted and managed. He was even more grateful to their support in sharing the joy and care with disadvantaged groups in the society, making all the activities of the 7th EMBA Alumni Association filled with love and care.

By the end of the event, when Chairman Chang of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology drew out the ticket of the lucky winner of the "mysterious" lottery, the entire audience got all the more cheering. Each participant was filled with the joy of the New Year. At the same time, the music of “Starting Over” began again, Chairman Wu of the EMBA Alumni Association also led the board and the planning staff to sing together, wishing everyone a happy and joyful new year and a career to start over again at the beginning of the year.
