The 108th Intermediate and High-level Manager Innovation Program, organized by Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and commissioned by the Bureau of Economic Development, Tainan City Government, was given great acclaim. 【Participants enthusiastically raised questions in the Third Wave Artificial Intelligence Trend Series Talk: Yan-Yun Ding, founder 7 Star Lake at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology】

In 1997, Yan-Yun Ding established a B2B network platform and subsequently developed high-end industrial computer products. With the great attention and development of intelligent cities and transportation all over the world, Yan-Yun Ding established 7 Star Lake to provide a platform for future front-end technologies such as artificial intelligence, unmanned technology, and Internet of Things, gathering experts and scholars in various fields for further cooperation and looking for potential service opportunities in the market. Since 2017, General Manager Ding and his 7 Star Lake team have introduced the first unmanned vehicle into different cities in Taiwan, building connections among bus lanes of Shinyi Road in Taipei, the Water Resources Campus in National Taiwan University, the Art District of Kaohsiung, and the Tianzhong High-Speed Railway Station. More than 15,000 people have been able to enjoy their service. They are now working on the sharing economy in the Smart City, the implementation of first and last connections, the development of road infrastructure (V2I), and smart green energy development.

At the end of the lecture, the intermediate and high-level managers had great discussions with General Manager Yan-Yun Ding about the bottleneck of artificial intelligence today. Associate Professor Ling-Mei Ke from the Department of Leisure, Recreation, and Tourism Management, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology, said that the public acceptance of artificial intelligence, the relevant norms of legal policies, and the technical aspects of artificial intelligence are the difficulties to overcome. Artificial intelligence is undoubtedly one of the most up-to-date topics of today, but how to popularize artificial intelligence and build a smart city is still a problem we need to explore.
