STUST will hold the "2024 Four-College Joint Open Day" to welcome vocational high school students across the country to unbox and experience their future university lives

STUST will hold the "2024 Four-College Joint Open Day" event on March 9, inviting first to third grade vocational high school students, parents, and teachers from the North, Central and South regions to experience the campus environment through on-site visits of the unique living environment of each department of STUST, as well as understanding of future employment prospects, allows them to experience their future university lives in advance.

This event is specially designed to offer a one-day life experience for college students, allowing participating students to understand their personal interests, personality and expertise, choose a suitable department for study, and experience the reality of university life. The content of the experiential course includes department professional equipment, professional classroom visits, course experience practice and campus tours, etc. It is hoped that through this one-day activity, vocational high school students will understand the characteristics and course highlights of each department, and experience STUST Technology. The university’s academic and professional atmosphere and campus resource space allow students to fully understand and experience the rich resources and equipment of each department.

The open day event includes 24 departments affiliated with the four colleges of STUST, including Engineering, Business Administration, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Digital Design, and has designed a number of experiential courses. The College of Engineering offers smart manufacturing fields, remote control cars, electronic music boards, and agitation car games, drones, polarized color magic, and self-propelled robots, which are combined with practical courses such as rice fiber production, ice cream DIY, and snowy weather bottles. The College of Business and Management offers the most advanced AI technology, courses on managing daily life and calculating life carbon footprint, using ChatGPT combined with live video production and streaming to different live broadcast platforms, and with EICP's marketing database, allowing students to easily become precision marketing experts. In addition, practical courses such as coffee roasting and chocolate making are quite rich in content, allowing students to learn by doing through these interesting practical courses.

In the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, senior students are arranged to interact with students, allowing participating students to experience foreign cultures, including foreign culture and dance, Japanese origami (folding paper), yukata tea ceremony, and many other courses. In terms of welfare for young children and the elderly, there is also Orff Schulwer’s percussion music, Montessori operation, smart board game experience, rich and diverse content. The College of Digital Design allows young students to understand the combination of digital technology and art through virtual character production, creative thinking and design, 3D model production, and stage glamorous sound and light experiences, helping participating students to find interests and skills for future employment.

Students participating in this OPEN DAY event can choose from different cross-department experiences, which encourage students to study across fields and majors as well as cultivate cross-border talents in the era of digital technology. In addition to getting to know the school, students can also experience the courses of different colleges simultaneously.
