STUST Study Abroad Scholarship Application Opening Soon!

We are pleased to announce that the application for the STUST Study Abroad Scholarship is about to open. Please read the following information carefully before applying:

1. Application Period:
From June 1 to June 15
Please apply online via the STUST Exchange Program Application System:

2. Eligibility:
Students who have been officially nominated by STUST for outbound exchange in Fall 2025 (Academic Year 114) are eligible to apply.
Please refer to the attached “STUST Study Abroad Scholarship Guidelines” for detailed eligibility criteria and language requirements.

3. Required Documents (Upload scanned copies to the system directly):
Scholarship Application Form (to be completed online in the system)

a. Official Academic Transcript in Chinese issued by the Registrar's Office, including: Conduct
grade, Class, department, and college ranking. Undergraduate students must submit
undergraduate transcripts; graduate students must submit graduate transcripts.
b. Proof of Language Proficiency (must meet required standards)
c. Study Abroad Proposal
d. Proof of Enrollment at STUST
e. Any other documents that may support the review process

⚠️ Note: Applications not successfully submitted through the system will be considered incomplete and will not be processed.

4. Important Notes:
(1) This scholarship is funded by the Ministry of Education (MOE). Students who have previously received subsidies from MOE programs such as Elite Study Abroad Program (學海飛颺), Hope Scholarship (學海惜珠), Study Abroad Dream Program (學海築夢), or New Southbound Study Abroad Dream Program for the same level of education are not eligible to apply again.

(2) Only students holding ROC (Taiwan) nationality are eligible.

(3) Scholarship recipients who are unable to study abroad or have already received another scholarship must return the full amount of the awarded funds in accordance with regulations.

(4) Scholarship recipients must physically attend the host institution and enroll in a sufficient number of credits (at least 6 credits for one semester, 12 credits for one academic year). Failure to meet the credit requirement may result in full repayment of the scholarship.

(5) Students studying abroad for one semester must return to STUST within 180 days; those studying for a full academic year must return within 365 days.

(6) Violation of the administrative agreement or failure to complete the required return and reporting procedures after the study period may also result in full repayment.

(7) Upon returning, students must submit a reflection report in MOE format and upload a 3-minute study abroad video via the application system.

(8) Students with disadvantaged economic or cultural backgrounds are encouraged to attach relevant proof of status to support their application.
