1. The official examination brochure has been published on the Ministry of Education (MOE) website (www.edu.tw) under Latest News (June 30, Year 114) and on the homepage of the Department of International and Cross-Strait Education (Sections: Overseas Study → Publicly Funded Study and Related Scholarships → Publicly Funded Study Abroad Examination Information).

2. Key information regarding exam subjects, application dates, test schedule, admission quota, and result announcement is as follows:

--Exam Subjects:
Chinese composition and two subject-specific exams (a total of three subjects).

--Application Method & Period:
All applications must be submitted online, along with required documents uploaded via the designated system.
Application opens July 15, 2025 at 8:00 AM and closes July 29, 2025 at 5:00 PM.

--Written Examination Date: October 4, 2025

--Interview Dates: December 6–7, 2025

--Planned Number of Admissions:
201 candidates in total, including:
▪️ 151 general publicly funded students
▪️ 10 outstanding underprivileged students
▪️ 20 Indigenous students
▪️ 10 students with disabilities
▪️ 10 students for study in New Southbound Policy countries

--Eligible Degree Levels:
The scholarship is primarily for doctoral degree programs. However, students applying under the fields of Arts and Architecture, Urban Planning, and Design may also pursue master’s degrees.
In addition, outstanding underprivileged, Indigenous, and disabled applicants, as well as those applying to New Southbound countries, may choose either master’s or doctoral degree programs.

--Announcement of Results: December 31, 2025

3. In alignment with national development priorities, 40 additional slots will be offered in areas corresponding to Taiwan’s “Five Trusted Industries,” particularly in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Engineering fields.
All qualified and interested students are encouraged to apply.

4. Applicants must personally attend both the written test and interview. Remote (online) interviews will not be available. Please plan your schedule accordingly if you intend to apply.
