Subject: NSTC and the German Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) are jointly soliciting applications for the 2026 "Taiwan-Germany Artificial Intelligence Academic Collaboration Research Project." Applications are now accepted until December 8, 2025 (on-campus submission).

Instructions:
1. Pursuant to the Taiwan-Germany Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement (STA) signed by NSTC and BMFTR on March 21, 2023, this joint solicitation for these projects is available. Application instructions are attached (or refer to the "Project Solicitation" section on our website).
2. This solicitation will run for three years, expected to begin on August 1, 2026. After the project coordinators from Taiwan and Germany have jointly discussed the project content, they must submit their applications to both NSTC and BMFTR within the application deadline.
3. To encourage more scholars and experts in the field of artificial intelligence to participate in this joint call for proposals, the National Science Council and the German BMFTR will jointly hold an online briefing in early November 2025 to connect Taiwanese and German scholars in the field of artificial intelligence for interaction and exchange. Interested scholars are welcome to participate online. Registration and participation methods will be announced on the NSTC website.
