National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology held an English-language seminar on December 5th entitled "Towards Quality Teaching in Higher Education and Promoting Academic Development through Improved Teaching Practice."

I. To enhance the quality of higher education teaching and promote the development of teaching practice research, the Office of the Teaching Practice Research Project of the Ministry of Education and our university have invited Dr. Drew Miller, a member of the QT Institute team from the University of Newcastle, Australia, and Deputy Director of the "Teacher and Teaching Research Center" at the university, to share his insights in Taiwan.

II. This lecture will focus on a "Quality Teaching Model" (QT Model) based on empirical research. This model includes three core aspects and eighteen key elements, aiming to assist teachers in deeply reflecting on and refining their teaching practices. Furthermore, Dr. Miller will share how to successfully integrate high-quality, evidence-based teaching strategies into daily classrooms, and will share his long-accumulated practical experience and insights on topics such as the introduction of game-based learning and the establishment of effective teacher feedback and reflection mechanisms.
