I. Application will be processed in accordance with the "Regulations Governing the Establishment of Research Grants by Cooperative Banks."
II. Eligibility:
(a) Current fourth-year undergraduate students at public or private universities in Taiwan, or master's or doctoral students who have completed at least one year of study in the relevant department, excluding students in continuing education programs, and who have not previously received this research grant within the same academic program.
1. Students enrolled in a five-year integrated program should apply as undergraduate students if applying based on their fourth-year undergraduate grades.
2. A limit of two students per department/institute is generally applied; additional applicants will be selected based on semester grades.
(b) An average grade of 80 or above for both the first and second semesters of the academic year.
III. Required Documents:
(a) Academic transcripts issued by the university for both the first and second semesters of the previous academic year. (II) Letter of Recommendation and Thesis Review Form: Master's and Doctoral students should be recommended by their department head or institute director; undergraduate students should be recommended by the professor who taught the relevant course, with the recommender providing their thesis review comments.
(III) One research paper on a topic related to the domestic economy or finance, such as financial fraud prevention, artificial intelligence finance (AI finance), fintech and innovation experiments, banking compliance, emerging financial supervision, risk governance, information security, online marketing, and sustainable finance related to ESG.
1. Research papers must be written in both Chinese and English; if written in English, a Chinese abstract of 3,000 to 5,000 words must be attached.
2. Research papers must be published under the individual's name; papers co-authored with classmates or a supervising professor will not be accepted.
(IV) One copy of the "Personal Information Disclosure Document for Research Grant Application".
IV. Research papers that pass the bank's review will be awarded a certificate and a grant. The award is NT$20,000 per undergraduate student, NT$30,000 per master's student, and NT$40,000 per doctoral student. The bank reserves the right to publish or print selected award-winning papers without further payment. The applicant's award-winning credentials will be considered for future recruitment by the bank.
V. If a winning student receives a research grant from the Taiwan Cooperative Bank and submits or publishes the research report in other media or applies for grants from other organizations after receiving the award, please indicate: "This report has been awarded a research grant from the Taiwan Cooperative Bank."
VI. The bank will hold an award ceremony at a later date, and winning students are requested to attend.
VII. Please attach one copy each of the "Letter of Recommendation and Thesis Review Form" and the "Personal Information Disclosure Agreement." VIII. Please mail the relevant application documents directly to: Research and Research Department, Taiwan Cooperative Bank, No. 225, Section 2, Chang'an East Road, Songshan District, Taipei City (Postcode 105). Please indicate "Application for 2026 Research Scholarship" on the envelope.
