The National Science and Technology Council is hosting the 2026 Presidential Hackathon Drone Competition – “Key Drone Technology Challenge.” Registration is open from April 15 to May 15, 2026.

1. This challenge focuses on the integration and application of three key technologies: edge computing with AI-based target recognition, high-precision target positioning, and autonomous navigation in GNSS-denied environments. The goal is to develop robust autonomous navigation and flight control systems, identify interdisciplinary talents in robotics, computer vision, and embedded systems integration, and promote the transformation of competition outcomes into practical applications to advance key drone technologies.

2. Competition categories include the General Division: Autonomous Navigation for Multi-Target Detection, and the Challenge Division: Autonomous Navigation for Multi-Target Detection in GNSS-denied Environments.

3. Eligibility: Teams must be formed by domestic colleges or universities, with at least one participating company or legal entity (R&D unit). Each student may join only one team. Participants from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau are not eligible.
