I. To improve students' English proficiency and narrow the resource gap between urban and rural areas, the National Education and Early Childhood Education Administration of the Ministry of Education has commissioned National Taiwan Normal University to build the "Cool English" online English learning platform (hereinafter referred to as Cool English) since 2021, providing free English learning and testing resources for teachers and students nationwide.

II. Starting from the 2025-2025 academic year, Cool English has expanded to include a college/university section and subsidized National Sun Yat-sen University to conduct the "English Self-Assessment System B2 Level Question Bank Construction Project," developing a test question bank covering listening, speaking, reading, and writing for college/university students to use for self-assessment of their English proficiency.

III. To ensure the quality of the question bank and the reliability and validity of the tests, test question development is currently underway, and plans are in place to invite current college/university students (including graduate students) nationwide to participate in a pre-test, facilitating test analysis and fairness verification, serving as an important basis for the subsequent official launch and promotion.

IV. This preliminary test will be conducted online from April 1st to July 31st, 2026. Please help inform students to participate actively. Registration is as follows:

(I) Registration Link: https://forms.gle/kAUcPy7nFjUr9rnW7

(II) Students can complete registration and testing at their own pace.

V. To encourage student participation, this program offers testing rewards. Those who complete one volume (listening and speaking or reading and writing) will receive a NT$300 gift card, and those who complete two volumes (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) will receive a NT$600 gift card. Detailed testing instructions are attached. Please help inform and encourage students to participate.
