I. Basis: In line with the Executive Yuan's 2026 National Disaster Prevention Day Promotion Outline Plan.
II. Purpose: To conduct earthquake evacuation drills in schools and kindergartens nationwide in conjunction with the Executive Yuan's "National Disaster Prevention Day" activities, familiarize students and teachers with the three steps of "drop, cover, hold on" for earthquake survival, and conduct post-earthquake evacuation drills, thereby strengthening their earthquake disaster response capabilities and protecting the safety of students and teachers on campus.
III. Implementation Time: The earthquake evacuation drill will be conducted at 9:21 AM on September 21, 2026.
IV. Implementation Focus:
I. In classrooms or other indoor spaces (such as libraries, clubrooms, school cafeterias, etc.):
(a) Remain calm and immediately take shelter in place.
(b) When the earthquake subsides, follow the instructions of teachers and evacuate quickly along the planned evacuation routes. (III) Upon arrival at a safe location (playground or other location), all faculty, staff, and students should take a roll call to ensure everyone is present and to calm any unrest. If anyone is missing (or injured), appropriate emergency response procedures should be implemented as soon as possible.
