Subject: NSTC and the Royal College of Edinburgh (RSE) are jointly soliciting applications for bilateral personnel exchange programs (1-year term) and (2-year term) in 2027. Applications will be accepted from now until October 16, 2026 (internal submissions accepted).

Notes:
1. The purpose of this program is to encourage researchers from Taiwan and the UK to collaborate on research projects across various fields. Please refer to the attached application guidelines for details on funding and regulations.

2. Program Duration:

(1) Bilateral Personnel Exchange Program: The program is expected to run from March 1, 2027 to February 29, 2028, for a period of one year. The annual funding for each program will be capped at NT$120,000.

(2) Bilateral Personnel Exchange Program: The program is expected to run from March 1, 2027 to February 28, 2029, for a period of two years. The annual subsidy for each Taiwanese project will be capped at NT$240,000.

(3) The solicitation guidelines are simultaneously published on the NSTC website/News/Project Solicitation Announcement. Project leaders from both sides should follow the regulations of NSTC and RSE respectively.

(4) The funds for this announced program are for designated use only. No appeals will be accepted for projects that have not received subsidies.
