一、The Ministry of Education has forwarded the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s Guidelines for the FY116 (2027) Open Selection Process for the “FY116 (2027) Grant Program for Rare Disease Prevention and Control” (see attachment). Interested applicants should submit the project proposal by official letter to the Health Promotion Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare no later than October 30, 2026 (Friday).

二、Program Details:

(1) Key Funding Priorities for FY116 (2027)

To cultivate the professional personnel required for research, diagnosis, testing, and treatment related to rare disease prevention and control.
To conduct academic and clinical research related to rare disease prevention and control.
To procure specialized equipment required for research, diagnosis, testing, and treatment related to rare disease prevention and control.
To conduct public awareness activities and academic exchanges related to rare disease prevention and control.

(2) Grant Funding

Cross-Institutional Integrated Projects: Up to NT$3 million per participating institution per year, calculated based on the number of participating institutions. Multi-year projects may be funded for a maximum of four years.
Single-Institution Projects: Up to NT$1 million per project per year, with the actual amount determined following review based on the project content. Multi-year projects may be funded for a maximum of three years.
