The president also reported to President Hay’s group that this year STUST received a subsidy of NT$170.20 million from the “Higher Education Sprout Program” by the Ministry of Education. The result showed that STUST is the No. 1 private university of Science and Technology in Taiwan, better than many national universities of science and technology. As the two sister schools were to sign an student exchange contract for the first time, President Deng-Maw Lu promised that the students of NLU would be allowed to come to STUST to learn Chinese. They can also take the opportunity to experience the quality of internationally certified education. Students of STUST can also take the opportunity to go for an exchange to the NLU.
