Chen was raised by her grandmother and aunt as her parents passed away when she was very young from her and. She often returns late due to activities, which made her family very worried, but their support was the motivation for her continuous efforts. When she first joined student clubs, as she recalled, she spoke very directly because of her personality and often had conflicts with other members. After many compromises and adjustments, she learned how to deal with people smoothly and came to realize that such changes were necessary in order to give full play to leadership and teamwork, make others trust her, and lead every club activity to a complete success.

In the second semester of her junior year, thanks to the support of her classmates, she served as General Coordinator of graduation concert. At the same time, she took over the general coordinator of Campus Running Man Activity and the deputy coordinator of the farewell party for graduating students for 13 departments. However, her grandmother was in poor health and needed Chen to take care of her. She once wanted to give up organizing those activities. Fortunately, with the encouragement and assistance of her classmates and school friends, her love for organizing activities was rekindled, and finally all the activities were held smoothly.

As You-Shuan Chen said, “Do what you like to do and don't become someone you hate” is her motto. She is willing to participate in and organize various activities, because these experiences are difficult to obtain from school learning. This award affirmed her in serving the crowd and social services, and she will continue to promote social related activities in the future, hoping to do her best to contribute to the society.
