The Ocean Cup Competition is an important warm-up match for the contestants before the College Cup Competition. The contestants of each group of STUST had been intensively training for the competition process since the beginning of the year. Among the contestants of each group, many players were newcomers to the competition for the first time. Participating in the first level of the cheerleading mixed group, a team must consists of four freshman players. It was not easy to win the first place in the mixed group for the first time. Most of the players participated in the inter-school by the end of last year. After the Cup Cheerleading Championship, the students moved on to participate in the competitive cheerleading school team. The bright results also increased the confidence of the players, and they will surely continue to work hard before they participate in future competitions. Zhi-Yin Gao, an top-level female student of the team, said that she was very happy to have the opportunity to participate in the competition with her teammates. Although they encountered technical bottlenecks during the practice, they still went all the way out to join the competition.

Yang-Yi Zhu, another top-level female student of the first-level B team of cheerleading team, said that this competition was her first off-campus competition since she joined the competitive cheerleading team. She had previously watched the senior sisters practice hard for the competition and always wanted to make it there some day. Like her senior sister, this time she finally finished my first game standing on the gymnastic mat. She didn’t have enough experience in the first competition; yet, fortunately, she had closely followed the senior sister’s teaching and suggestions. She would keep a lot of valuable experience in mind and continue to work hard. The team played a higher-than-usual practice level on the day of the competition, showing a complete competition process, and won the first third place in the mixed team at the first level of the competition.

The group competition is the most basic skill training course for the contestants, and it is also the beginning of participating in the big group competition. The multi-level skills emphasize the development of the basic skills and tacit training of each player in the team, as well as a group’s stable skills and display ability. All these contribute to achieving the perfect display of the team participating in the large group competition.
