STUST held the 2021 National High School Vocational Business Planning and Special Production Competition for the 14th year.

The 2021 National High School Vocational Business Planning and Special Production Competition, sponsored by STUST, was held recently in the Niantzi International Conference Hall of STUST. The competition has been in place for 14 consecutive years. A total of 172 teams from all over the country signed up for the competition. The participating teams were from Yilan, Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, Taichung, Yunlin, Chiayi, Kaohsiung and Pingtung. There were a total of more than 210 participating teachers and students. After the preliminary selection, 32 teams were shortlisted for the opportunity to present their project productions on stage, and another 20 teams were invited to be presented as posters at the venue. The competition was very fierce, and it was a rare opportunity for southern Taiwan to see such a special competition activity for high school vocational students in the field of business management.

This competition was for students to show their achievement through the writing and teaching of business management plans, so that students could try to simulate actual business situations during the competition and systematically think about new businesses or solve specific business problems. At the same time, they could also honed in writing reports and develop their ability to give formal oral briefings. In addition, participating teachers from different schools could also have the opportunity to observe each other and exchange their teaching experiences with others. Thanks to the exciting process of the activity, the participating students were excited and gained a lot. Ling-Yu Liang, Chief Financial Officer of Kuan Tong Industrial Co., Ltd., who served as a judge in the competition, said in her speech that it was impressive to see that many groups had creative ideas that could be integrated into the concept of environmental protection; they showed their unlimited potential and proposed innovative thinking that would turn waste into treasure.

President Deng-Maw Lu of STUST said that the competition allowed high school vocational students and universities to connect with each other. Through the planning competition, graduates could apply what they had learned comprehensively and could put forward thoughtful solutions to actual problems, showing it to everyone through the competition. Their devotion and hard work must have a profound learning effect, and will definitely improve their ability to comprehensively apply business management-related knowledge. From these participating teams, people could see the creativity of students. Through competition and observation, more new ideas should be inspired, which would surely inject new vitality into Taiwan's economy in the future.
