The outstanding performance of the students of STUST has been recognized by all walks of life. The recruitment results of the 110 academic year have shown its growth against the current negative trend.

The 110th academic year started in September as STUST's annual enrollment work drew close to an end. Owing to the birthrate decline in recent years, the number of students participating in the composite entrance examination this year has decreased by about 7,000. However, STUST maintained an achievement rate of about 95%. The results were quite fruitful. It has once again proved that STUST is in an important position for vocational high school students and their parents.

STUST is a high-quality school with a complete educational system, recognized by all walks of life, that has been actively running. This year, due to the impact of declining birthrate, the total number of applicants for the test was only 88,310, which means a decrease by nearly 7,000. In spite of this situation, the STUST continued to grow against the trend in terms of its four-year program recruitments in the day school section. The enrollment number increased from 2,584 last year to 2,614. , In the extremely competitive arena of universities of science and technology in Tainan, coupled with the dual pressure from students’ various choices of schools to study in, STUST has delivered very brilliant results.

In order to reduce the impact of the phenomenal declining birthrates, STUST has invested hundreds of millions of dollars in the macro layout of the school affair reform to upgrade the school’s software and hardware facilities, including modern multi-functional classrooms, community buildings, Circle and Square Plaza, “Fifty Classrooms,” and Rainy-Day Stadium, Art Center, Central Plaza, etc. The overall campus beautification work has made the campus look new, allowing students and their parents to experience the school's dedication and hard work, forming a widespread mouth-to-mouth reputation, and becoming an important reason for students to study in the school.

STUST’s ongoing academic and educational reforms have recruited outstanding young teachers with a high degree of service enthusiasm and industry experience to bring new vitality into teaching and encourage students’ interest in professional learning. It also encourages students to participate in clubs to improve their organizational skills and promote their capabilities in sports. The atmosphere is active and strong, so that students can achieve long-term development.

Under this influence, the students also have excellent performance. This year they won the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incentive Program Award of Outstanding Entrepreneurship from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the 110th Academic Year Award of Doctoral Dissertation for Doctoral Candidates in Humanities and Social Sciences, the 2021 Best Design Award of German Red Dot Design Award, and many other awards. In sports, the track and field school team won 2 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals in the 109 Academic Year National College Games. In the 110th Academic Year College Athletics Open, STUST won 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals. In addition to winning gold medals, the school team broke records in 400-meter hurdles and 1,600-meter relay. In the UBA College Basketball League, STUST won the runner-up in the general men's division of the National College, and the runner-up in the 108th Academic Year National College Volleyball League. In order to enhance the cultivation of students in the humanities and arts, the school has organized a number of music competitions and arts and cultural activities to allow students to make great progress in professional learning, arts and humanities and sports activities. These measures have allowed the school's various innovative policies to develop and grow. It is also an important factor for students to choose STUST.
