STUST recently passed the evaluation of Workforce Development Agency, the Ministry of Labors and was granted the "Technical Skills Verification Discipline Test Site and Equipment Evaluation Certificate." It will provide "in-situ training and in-situ license examination" services from 2023, helping students and people in related fields obtain professional skills certification, strengthening the integration of chemical production, and cultivating industrial technical talents and increase the employment rate.

In order to cultivate usable talents for the industry, STUST has cultivated practical teaching for a long time, strengthening the employability of students, promoting academic research, industry-university cooperation and lifelong learning courses with perfect faculty equipment, research and development technology, and providing enterprises and people in related fields with academic exchanges, technical matchmaking, and perfect training courses for functional professionals. With the support of Deng-mao Lu, President of STUST, in August 2022, the Instant Test-and-Assessment and Certification Technician Skills Testing Service Center was established, and the Test-and-Assessment and Certification Center was established in the Department of Information Engineering Building of STUST. STUST was allowed to set up rooms for Technician Skills Verification Discipline Test and Examination, actively training test staff, field management personnel, and field supervisors. On October 24, 2011, STUST was appraised by the Ministry of Labor as it had passed the Technical Skills Verification Discipline Test Site and Equipment Evaluation. Qualification certificates, as STUST has planned, will be issued in 2023 four times a year through instant assessment and certification technician skills verification tests, each test with 4 occupational examination subjects and at least 500 candidates to participate in the test.

The Instant Assessment and Certification Technician Skills Test Service Center, STUST, is required to hold examinations of various disciplines, including 5 current tests of 15 technical categories: Heat Treatment Level C, Chinese Cuisine Level C, Baking Food Level C, Mechatronics Integration Level C, and Care Attendant Level 1. It is hoped that, through the examination center and various vocational departments, examinations of disciplines and skills will be processed simultaneously, so as to realize the advantages of in-situ training and in-situ examination for candidates and to cultivate and reserve academic and industrial professionals in local industries.

Deng-mao Lu, President of STUST, said that, due to the birth rate decline in recent years, talent cultivation has gradually shifted from common education in the past to refined education, resulting in a shortage of specialized professional talents in the job market. The Instant Assessment and Certification Technician Skills Test Service Center was established in order to cultivate ready-to-use talents for enterprises, promote the employment population in the whole country and Tainan area, and fulfill the social responsibility of the university and practice the purpose of sustainable development.
