The Department of Hospitality Management, STUST, won two bronze medals in the 2023 TCAC Taiwan International Culinary and Food Challenge

The Department of Hospitality Management, STUST, recently participated in the 2023 TCAC Taiwan International Culinary Arts and Food Challenge, organized by the Worldchefs Association. It is the only culinary skill in Taiwan certified by the "World Chefs Certification Association. In the competition, You-ren Chen, a student from STUST, won the bronze medal in the Ultimate Taste of Choux of the dynamic competition. Si-yu Chen also won a bronze medal in the Four-Plated Dessert. The competition attracted enthusiastic registrations from more than 220 individual and team contestants, with contestants came from Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and other countries. The competition was very fierce.

The winning students from STUST were all mentored by Instructor Zheng-sheng Lin. This year the contestant You-ren Chen, who participated for the first time in the ultimate puff taste competition, won the favor of the judges with two different creative flavors and shapes: "Orange Puff Tower and Chocolate Hazelnut Éclair," while Si-yu Chen presented the creativity of four different desserts in the four-plated competition of different desserts by using mythological stories and chocolate spraying techniques.
