Carbon Storage and Fishing USR Project worked on innovations with "Green Dissemination Culture" with Taiwanese Opera integrated with green energy technology to promote sustainable culture

Prof. You-ren Chen, the host of the "Carbon Storage and Fishing" USR program at STUST, integrated green energy technology into traditional Taiwanese opera, working with Director Zi-shuan Yan of the Hongming Taiwanese Opera Troupe, Director Zon-gen Wu of the Wan Shiantao Opera Troupe, and the performance team to create a unique "Green Dissemination Culture" performance model jointly participated in the 2024 Top Ten Social Innovation Practice Platforms Project. They won the Excellence Award in the Group in the Sustainable Development with the proposal of "Green Dissemination Culture." This innovative project not only successfully integrated green energy technology with traditional opera, injecting new life into traditional art, but also successfully held an outdoor demonstration performance in Yilan, contributing to the development of sustainable culture in Taiwan.

Prof. You-ren Chen, the host of the "Carbon Storage and Fishing" project, shared that the success of this green energy demonstration event at Taiwanese Opera Stage confirmed the team's research and development achievements in the field of green electricity over the years. From his initiation at Ocean University 20 years ago to the establishment of the "Green Electric Rock Maker Research Society" at STUST, Prof. Chen has always been committed to promoting green energy. He said that in the future he will continue to explore the possibility of cross-domain cooperation in green energy to bring more innovative and sustainable solutions to society.
