STUST held the 113th Academic Year Student Society Evaluation and Award Ceremony with the theme of "Hope" to bring youthful vitality into the campus. This evaluation event not only commended the outstanding performance of student societies and clubs, but also provided a platform for students to showcase their achievement, exchange and learn from each other.

In the afternoon of the event, Director Shu-cheng Lin of Extracurricular Activity Center, Tainan University of Technology, Director Zhe-wei Yeh of Extracurricular Activities Center, Taipei University of Science and Technology’s, Director Jian-hui Li of Student Activity Development Center, he Chunghwa University of Science and Technology, and Min-yu Chen of Extracurricular Activity and Service Learning Center, Shude University of Science and Technology formed a review panel to select 20 shortlisted societies and clubs. In order to win the award at the evening award ceremony, the students of STUST carefully prepared materials and answered the judges’ questions about club management. The judges also provided professional and valuable information at the end of the evaluation, offered suggestions, encourage students to have better operation of their associations.

Various societies showed their styles 

This year the Student Society Evaluation was highly competitive, with each society and club showing outstanding performance in environmental protection, financial management, beautification, creativity, and teamwork. After a meticulous evaluation by the review panel, Zhongde Youth Society finally won the highest honor—Outstanding Performance Award. In addition, there were many awards, such as the Golden Net Award, the Golden Accounting Award, and the Golden Beauty Award, which recognized the outstanding contributions of various societies and clubs.

Alumni shared and inspiring the future 

In order to encourage younger students to actively participate in club activities during college, the organizer invited two outstanding alumni, Yi-wen Fu, a financial reporter from Unique Business News, and Sheng-mao Huang, Associate Business Manager of Principal Insurance Brokerage, to share their stories. The alumni’s experience sharing benefited the students a lot, giving them a clearer picture of their future life plans.

Star-studded awards ceremony 

 At the award ceremony, representatives of each society and club, dressed in carefully prepared costumes, walked onto the red carpet and received the attention of teachers and students in the audience. During the ceremony, there were wonderful performances from various clubs, such as the passionate dance of the Blazing Fire Dance Club, the youthful vitality of the competitive cheerleading team, and the melodious melodies of the Southern Stars Folk Guitar Club, bringing the atmosphere of the event to the climax.

Vice President Zhen-chian Wang of STUST said in his speech that club activities are an important part of university life. Student union pledge and made commitment to service 

At the ceremony, the student union led the chairs of department student associations to take an oath in a solemn atmosphere, promising to serve the students with enthusiasm and responsibility and lead the team to promote the development of the campus. School representatives issued election certificates to the new chairs, expecting that they would bring more innovation and vitality to the school.

After a fierce competition, the results of this Student Society Evaluation were as follows: Chongde Youth Club won the Outstanding Performance Award, the Martial Arts Club won the Annual Special Activity Award for its wonderful activities, and the Bottle Cap Baseball Club won the favor of the review panel, winning the Judges’ Special Award. In addition, the Student Associations of the Department of International Business and the Department of Child Care and Education performed well in the service and autonomous societies. The Guanjiangshou Research Society took the lead among the academic societies, and the Blazing Fire Dance Club also ranked first among the recreational societies. The martial arts club was recognized in the award as it stood out among the physical fitness clubs. The Enterprise Management Society, Competitive Cheerleading Club, Magic Club, Blazing Fire Dance Club and Popular Music Club were highly recognized by the judges in terms of organizational operation, financial management, activity performance, social environment and poster design, respectively.

Dinner exchange and great friendship 

After the award ceremony, the organizer held a thanksgiving dinner and offered a platform for community members to communicate and interact. Everyone shared his or her experiences in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, which greatly enhanced mutual friendship.
