STUST and National Pai-Ho Senior Commercial & Industrial Vocational School Signed Strategic Alliance to Promote AI and Vocational Education Integration

To strengthen vocational education cooperation and enhance students’ capabilities in AI application and academic resource sharing, STUST and National Pai-Ho Senior Commercial & Industrial Vocational School formally signed a strategic alliance on June 4, 2025. This partnership centers on AI education, the promotion of the AI Maker platform, industry collaboration, curriculum development, and student engagement through the “Big Hands Holding Small Hands” initiative planned by the end of the year. The alliance lays the groundwork for long-term cooperation between the two institutions and injects fresh innovation into Taiwan's vocational education system.

The signing ceremony took place at the College of Business and Management at STUST. President Neng-fu Huang and Principal Shuo-yan Lin signed the memorandum of cooperation on behalf of their respective institutions. Administrative and teaching teams from both schools were present to witness this milestone event.

This alliance symbolizes a mutual commitment to vertical integration and resource sharing in vocational education. By leveraging STUST’s strengths in AI, information technology, and innovative pedagogy, along with the extensive practical experience in vocational training of National Pai-Ho Senior Commercial & Industrial Vocational School, the two institutions will engage in multi-faceted collaboration. This includes the use of the AI Maker platform, joint industry-academia projects, co-teaching mechanisms, and resource sharing, all aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of teaching and practical learning.

President Neng-fu Huang emphasized that the core value of vocational education lies in its focus on practice and innovation, and that AI is the most critical tool in the modern era. Through this alliance, the University aims to open its teaching resources and AI Maker platform to teachers and students at National Pai-Ho Senior Commercial & Industrial Vocational School, fostering AI literacy from the high school level and better preparing students for their academic and professional futures. As part of these efforts, STUST will host a press conference for its “Practical AI Talent Cultivation Platform and Computing Power Sharing Alliance” on Thursday, June 26, and has invited President Lin to participate in this AI education event.

Principal Shuo-yan Lin noted that in the era of AI, education must take a proactive approach. This year, the Department of Automotive Engineering at National Pai-Ho Senior Commercial & Industrial Vocational School collaborated with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at STUST to apply for the Industry-Academic Cooperation Special Class, allowing students to gain practical experience at TOYOTA while pursuing their studies. This strategic alliance represents a cross-stage educational integration, enabling students to explore AI applications early on and build future competitiveness through hands-on, interactive learning. This is true to the schools'shared philosophy of practice and innovation.

They gained insights into the university’s broad academic offerings, advanced hardware facilities, and research achievements in smart manufacturing, the Internet of Things, and automatic control. These visits allowed the guests to witness firsthand STUST’s commitment and efforts in nurturing talent.
