2018/5/23 Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology won 2 gold medals, 1 bronze media, and 3 Special Awards in A+ Creative Festival: The work "Chasing it!" by the Department of Innovative Product Design won the "A+ Creative Festival Award." The 2018 A+ Creative Festival, held by the Cultural Assets Bureau of the Ministry of Culture, saw its award ceremony on May 22 at the Taichung Cultural and Creative Industrial Park. From as many as 53 departments of 24 universities, 1,374 works were exhibited this year, setting a new record high over the recent years. The 2018 International Arts and Culture Festival of Southern Taiwan University of Technology was launched on May 9. The festival invited approximately 300 students came from Morocco, Denmark, Colombia, Egypt, France, South Korea, Germany, Indonesia, Peru, India, Czech Republic, Mongolia, El Salvador, Vietnam, Mexico, Malaysia, Iraq, Germany, Thailand, Switzerland, Japan, the Philippines... 2018/5/11 Ministry of Science and Technology announced the final results of its Internet of Things Sensor Service Platform Project: Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology was the only university in the country that could publish its research and development achievements. In order to strengthen and promote Taiwan’s strength in developing artificial intelligence (AI), the Ministry of Science and Technology brought together 17 universities and 44 academic teams throughout the country on May 9 to display the project results of the Internet of Things and AI robots.
